Bambook ("us", "we", or "our") operates the Bambook app with a .pdf scanner, OCR and OpenAI capabilities (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

Your Consent

By using the Bambook App, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Types of Data Collected

1. Documents: Your documents are only stored locally on your device and are never sent to a third-party unless explicitly chosen by you (e.g., exporting to other apps or backing up to a cloud storage service). Bambook doesn't have access to the scans. 

2. Firebase Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect and analyze usage data, such as which features are used and how often. This data is anonymized and deleted within 26 months.

3. Firebase Crashlytics: We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect and analyze crash logs. This information is pseudonymized and kept for up to 90 days.

4. Azure OCR Processing: Images for OCR processing are encrypted and sent to Azure for Optical Character Recognition. No copies of the data are stored, and the original images are deleted after processing.

5. OpenAI ChatGPT Processing: Data is encrypted during storage and transmission. OpenAI does not train on user data and commits to data ownership and control. No copies of the data are stored, and the original images are deleted after processing.
